CENTOGENE offers Coronavirus testing at the ewerk building in the city center of Berlin. The CENTOGENE Test Center offers an RT-PCR test (Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction Test), which detects whether there is an acute infection with the virus, and thus the risk of infecting other people they come in contact with.

Where Can I Get Tested?

The COVID-19 test center is located in Hall "C" of the Berlin eWerk. It is accessible via the gate entrance at Mauerstraße 79 (2nd backyard), as well as the entrance at Wilhelmstraße 43 (opposite the Ministry of Finance).

Monday – Friday
8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (CEST)
Saturday & Sunday
9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m (CEST)

Please note that the rising demand at the test centers could lead to short-term changes of scheduled opening hours, and the range of testing options could be limited. Our test centers are bound by local conditions and requirements, and we apologize if we are currently unable to accommodate your request for testing. If you have already purchased a test, you can get tested on a different day or at a nearby test center. If you wish to cancel your current order, you can do so directly via the CENTOGENE Corona Test Portal, with the option to purchase a new one at a later date.

SARS-CoV-2 PCR-Test

Results within 24 hours after sample receipt in 95%1 of cases.


1 In some cases, for example if there is an uncertain result and the analysis must be repeated, the result may become available somewhat later. In August 2020, on average 95% of RT-PCR test results were reported within the stated turn-around-time.


Additional Services

Identity Verification

For an additional charge of 9€, there is the option to add identity verification on to your purchase. Your identification details, including your passport number/travel document details, will be included on the medical report – verifying that the test results belong to you and have not been tampered with. Please note that you need to present the original identification document for this service - printed or scanned copies cannot be accepted.

Report Language

The COVID-19 test results can be provided in the following languages: German, English, Spanish, French, Dutch, Chinese, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Czech, and Greek.

In the Corona Test Portal: PayPal or credit card

You can pay online conveniently by credit card or PayPal.


In the Test Center: EC or credit card

On site at the Test Center, you also have the option of paying by credit or EC card.

  • Surgical mask or FFP2 mask

  • Identification document (original)

Protecting Your and Our Staff's Health

We only test persons who are not showing symptoms to protect the health of our staff and other persons testing at our test center. Please wear a surgical mask (or higher-specification N95/KN95 or FFP2 devices) in our test centers.

Coronavirus Test Process

After registering via the Test Portal at https://corona.centogene.com, a throat swab can be taken at the Test Center without an appointment.


Please do not eat, drink, or brush your teeth 15 minutes before the test


How to get your results:

You can access your test result in three simple steps:

  1. Login under https://corona.centogene.com.
  2. Select the name of the proband.
  3. Download report via "Actual Medical Reports" through "Display findings".
